Multi Layer when creating Content {writing, video, …}

I just realized — creating Content in the form of writing is not as easy as I imagined.
Even though everything I write on this website is written for myself {as mentioned in the article Writing for ‘Future of Me’}, the fact remains:

Writing that is useful

  • useful for my future self, in the “Days Ahead”
  • useful for Others {hopefully}

what if everything is written in a messy way?
Future of Me: will cry reading the writings on this Website.

😁😁😁 he he he…

I think, at the very least, writing goes through multi-layers:

  • Layer 1 — idea / content: “what do I want to write?”
  • Layer 2 — structure: “how to organize it so it’s easy to understand?”
  • Layer 3 — reader’s perspective: “is it clear enough for others?”
  • Layer 4 — technical: “does it render correctly on Jekyll / GitHub Pages?”

By the way, what is Jekyll / GitHub Pages + its implementation on this Website, is explained in this article.

For the world of Video Content, it probably requires several more layers:

  • idea — same as writing
  • script — must sound natural when spoken, not just read
  • recording — lighting, audio, background, expression
  • editing — cuts, transitions, music, subtitles
  • thumbnail — one image that must “win” among thousands of videos
  • title & description — SEO, clickable, but not clickbait
  • publish timing — when to upload for maximum traffic
  • respond to comments — engagement
