5 C: Code, Content, Capital, Collaboration, Consistent
5 C: Code, Content, Capital, Collaboration, Consistent
I am very fortunate and grateful to be living in the age of AI like today.
For a Programmer like me, there are too many Temptations tests:
- tweak this, tweak that
- Research this, Research that
- Test product X, Y, Z
- …
and in the end it becomes: Not Productive
I need something to hold on to.
5 C: Code, Content, Capital, Collaboration, Consistent
Word #1: Code
I place the word Code as the first word:
- as a Programmer, this is already a reflex
- I do not mean to say:
- that
Codeis the Most Important - or that other words are Not Important
- that
- I simply try to:
- start from something Small
- start from something Simple
- start from something I Can do
although of course, there is a Design / Document part, as I explain in the article Document Driven Development
Word #2: Content
I place the word Content as the second word:
- I mean this in the form of Articles and/or Videos
- through content, I can express myself freely {I can write with my own writing style}
In the article Writing for ‘Future of Me’, I share this in the section:
Learned from the Internet, now sharing back
I have learned a lot from the Internet {articles / videos created by many people}.
I think it is time for me to start sharing my own writing publicly.
Writing that is useful
- useful for myself, in the “Future”
- useful for others {hopefully}
Word #3: Capital
I am not a Good Programmer {if I were, I would be working at Google, Microsoft, … TopTal}
But, I very quite enjoy the topic of Software Engineering.
I place the word Capital as the third word, as a reminder for myself:
- all of these activities require Capital {read: Money}
- that ignoring this, will make things harder for me
Code → requires time → time is money
Content → requires energy → energy needs fuel
Collaboration → requires reputation → reputation is built from work
✅ Capital is not the goal — but it is crucial for all the other C's to keep running
Word #4: Collaboration
I place the word Collaboration as the fourth word {not in position 1, 2, or 3}:
- Collaboration / Networking == very important, but ideally everything should start from Internal Factors first
- solid/mature Internal Factors are built through the 1st and 2nd process above
- if you jump straight to Collaboration, without a solid/mature Internal Foundation? then it is easy to “Break”
it is not that I don't see this word as Important — but:
❌ Zero Collaboration is far better than Toxic Collaboration
Word #5: Consistent
In the end, Consistent is the key.
All the C’s above — mean nothing without the word Consistent.
Of course, each one has its own Challenge.
For Content, I have discussed this in the article Multi Layer when creating Content {writing, video, …}
Other C’s
- Cross the Line
- Consequence
- Cashflow - Cost of Living
- Commitment
- Communication
- Competence
- Competition / Competitive
